    The Number game

We believe that the ideas that "Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." suggests will improve the economy in 20 different areas.

Yet, most Americans do not have faith that the program is realistic. The page below is dedicated to them.

Technically, any achievement would be better than nothing. Still, the organization sets high standards because it is important to strive for the greatest success possible. Saying this, the program will be very successful even if it will fall short of all the organization's goals.

We estimate (and the organization will need to research this issue deeper during 2008) that in order to achieve absolute success we need ONLY about 30% of the working force to volunteer! Yet, the organization will push for more volunteers in order to develop an atmosphere of "plenty".

"Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." will seek that 80% of the companies will promote the program among their employees and will recruit about 60% of their employees. This will provide the program with about 48% of the working force from the large companies. That will inspire many medium and small companies to do the same.

Remind you, that the program has 4 stages and only small number of them will be asked to fly to another destination. Most workers will be asked to support their own communities for 1-3 fun days!

In addition, the program will actively ask groups from other countries to also help with supporting the travel industry. Their participation will reduce even more the number of American workers that are required for the program.

All those groups should develop the situation by which the regular tourists will return and travel in mass numbers. As soon as that happens, we will reduce the number of the volunteers of our groups.

All in all, it may be very possible to achieve absolute success with only 20% of the American working force that only part of them are asked to travel to distant locations for more then 4 days.

With only 10% of the working force we will achieve about 50% success. I would be very disappointment with such numbers. Yet, this is still by far better than any other alternative that I am aware of that the government offers!

It appears that mathematically the program has very realistic goals. Unfortunately, most Americans - both government officials and regular people - emphasize the people who will refuse to join the program (probably just as an excuse to decline the program).

"Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." may face some priority decisions regarding which locations to support. For example, in a situation in which 10 locations each needs 60,000 visitors each night* and there are available only 540,000 visitors a night; should the public support each location with only 54,000? Should the public fully support 9 locations and wave one location away?

Remind you that all the organization does is suggest its solutions with request from the volunteers to respect it. Ultimately, the employers will make those decisions! "Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." will evaluate the situation in each location about 2-3 times a week and will make suggestion that should be applied within 2-3 days. There will be some "trail and error" process. There is absolutely no need to get panic due to this fact.

*- 60,000 visitors a night does not mean in any way that every day 60,000 visitors should arrive at the location. To achieve this quote there is a need of about 5,000 visitors a day to arrive for a 7-night visit (which will be equivalent to 35,000 visitors a night) and about 7,000 visitors a day for 2-3 night visit (which will be equivalent to about 24,500 visitors a day).

Flexibility is an important nature of this program and "Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." will train its staff to make decisions in real time. The organization will prepare for number of different scenarios.

For example: in a scenario of terror attack there will be the need to start the program immediately and get to full force within just few days. Later, as tourists become more comfortable and return, the organization will decrease the size of the program.

However, in scenario such as after Hurricane Katrina the public had few months in order to prepare the program. In such scenario, the public could start using the program on a very small scale few months after the disaster and slowly pick up to arrive at full force within2-3 weeks.

After Hurricane Katrina the founder, Eytan Katz, offered the authorities of Louisiana to use the program by December 2005 with setting goals of 60K visitors a week for a period of about 10 weeks. However, the total would probably not be 600K visitors but more likely around a total of 250K visitors.

The high level of goals set by the founder in previous crises has intimidated many people. However, in reality, the success of the program depends on much smaller number from what appears at first.

It is sad that government officials and members of the public concentrate on the people that will decline to join the organization in its mission rather on those that will be willing to volunteer. We have great confidence that the program - if given the opportunity - will be a great success.

The organization will put the burden on the head of the corporations who will take personal responsibility in order to recruit as many voluntaries out of their companies. We trust that many of them will use their reputation in order to boost this project.

In addition, "Emergency Travel Infusion, Inc." will reach out to the medium and small size companies because they could be a great contribution. They will not benefit from the great discounts that the large companies will receive. Yet, their participation is very important - especially if many corporations will decline to participate.

Therefore, it is foolish to refuse making this program known and available to the whole public. I guarantee significant success - even if many of the corporations will decline their participation!
