The reasons we MUST win

My name is Eytan Katz.

The purpose of this project is to help the public overcome future crises that potentially could disrupt the travel industry, the morale and the entire economy. Our ideas will help boost the economy, the morale and get the public overcome fears within very short period of time and by that bring fast and strong recovery.

I believe that one of our biggest obstacle is the public' acceptance with mediocre solutions and its lack of desire to overcome crises. After September 11th, there was a sense of hopelessness among the public. It appears that many have lost their zeal to win. This project will shake up the public out of that state!

Born and raised in Israel, I had visited number locations within hours or days after they were hit by terror. The response was always to return to normal life immediately! It was in Waikiki, during the months after September 11th, that I experienced for the first time in my life a defeat by a terror attack. That was a shocking experience for me that I did not ever want to experience again. We must NEVER allow the terrorists to have the upper hand.

The terrorists are lunching a physical war. However, their aims are in a fact psychology. They are trying to spread fear in order to manipulate the public to endorse certain political and social ideas.

Of course the terrorists do not believe that they can destroy America. However, they believe that they could destroy the western' Spirit - even if it will take them dozen of years. They believe that time is on their side. They are both vicious and patient.

When I saw all the people who lost their jobs (including number of personal friends) and the fall of morale I was very concerned. This is because the public became acceptable with the situation - instead of fighting back and bringing strong and fast recovery.

Initially, my concerns were not even about the economy but about the public' spirit and willingness to stand up against adversary.

It was only during the months following September 11th - as I was trying to talk with government agencies about the importance of bringing Waikiki back to normal - that people kept refereeing me to the state' and city' economy departments. This what eventually associated my ideas with the economy field.

The problem, however, is that not all economist are notorious for being passionate warriors. Even worse, not all of them evaluate the economy through the eyes of a single mother who has been laid off or had her hours and tips cut down by as much as 50%. Instead, many of them evaluate the economy through the eyes of big corporations that are able to weather out occasional recessions - sometimes by simply laying off part of their work force.

In six years I have yet to meet even one economist who had even one percent of the needed sense of urgency and desire to overcome future crises. For them, this is emotionless game in which the economy is doing well at times and bad at times. As a matter of fact, many of them would consider my project has unnecessarily, foolish and useless.

I, on the other hand, was outraged that so many people lost their jobs or had to close their businesses. In addition, I was outraged that the government was more concerned about the big companies than about the people.

I believe that it is not a coincidence that I have developed the best solutions for the travel industry, its employees and the entire nation - including the corporations. This is due to my desire and commitment to improve the economy.

My program is different from others because I made the commitment to WIN! It is about values, character, desire to overcome crises and the commitment for fast recovery.

Terror attack should NEVER cause mass layoffs or extreme loss of morale as happened to the public after September 11th. This is the reason for my commitment.
